Description
Info-ZIP is a free software package that provides tools for working with ZIP archives.
It is available for various platforms such as Windows, Linux, and macOS. Info-ZIP functions to create, extract, and manipulate ZIP archives. It includes various command-line tools that allow users to perform these tasks from the terminal or command prompt. The tools include Zip, which is used for creating ZIP archives, and Unzip, which is used for extracting files from ZIP archives.
Info-ZIP is made by the Info-ZIP workgroup, an Internet-based group of authors and beta-testers. Its purpose is to provide free, portable versions of Zip and UnZip that are compatible with PKZIP. The tools run on Unix, VMS, OS/2, Windows, MS-DOS, Mac OS and many other systems. They use the Info-ZIP License, which is BSD-like.
