Description

RSS Guard is a feed reader for RSS, ATOM and JSON feeds and many web-based feed services. It also includes a podcast player, a basic XMPP client and a Gemini protocol client. Its source code is published on GitHub.

It runs on Windows, Linux, BSD, OS/2 and macOS, and reads RSS, ATOM, JSON, iCalendar and Sitemap feeds. RSS Guard also works with many popular online services. RSS Guard is open source software made by Martin Rotter and licensed under the GNU GPLv3.

Plays audio and video with a built-in mpv-based or ffmpeg-based media player
Native support for the Gemini protocol, to fetch and display feeds over Gemini connections
