Description
WirelessKeyView is a NirSoft freeware utility for recovering wireless network keys stored by Windows on systems the user is authorized to administer.
The current FOSShub inventory records WirelessKeyView 2.23 package names for 32-bit and 64-bit Windows portable archives. The official NirSoft page describes the utility as recovering WEP and WPA keys stored by older Wireless Zero Configuration and newer WLAN AutoConfig services.
This is a sensitive utility because it displays saved network credentials. It should be used only for legitimate recovery, audit, migration, or administration work on computers and networks where the user has permission.

WirelessKeyView is useful when an administrator or device owner needs to recover a saved Wi-Fi password after a router change, workstation migration, or documentation gap.
It is not a network-cracking tool and should not be framed as one. Its legitimate value comes from exposing credentials already stored on a Windows machine, which is why permission and local administrative context matter.
Authorized Recovery Use
WirelessKeyView can save time when a trusted Windows computer already has the needed Wi-Fi profile but the written password has been lost. In that situation, exporting or copying the saved key can avoid resetting a network or reconfiguring multiple devices.
The same capability is sensitive in the wrong hands. Users should run it only on their own systems or systems they administer, protect exported files, and avoid leaving recovered keys in plain text where other people can access them.
