Description

JACK Audio Connection Kit, or JACK, is a sound server that connects audio and MIDI between applications in real time with low latency. It is made up of a professional sound server API and a pair of daemon implementations. JACK is open source and is released under the GPL-2.0 licence.

JACK is available for Linux, macOS, Solaris, FreeBSD and Windows. It can connect several client applications to an audio device and let them share audio with each other. For programmers, it offers a cross-platform API for real-time audio and music applications, covering device sharing and audio routing between applications.
