Description

Allway Sync is a program that allows you to back up your data, syncing between multiple devices including desktop PCs, laptops, USB drives, remote FTP/SFTP and WebDAV servers, various cloud servers, and even between the most popular devices: a PC and a Mac

. Allway Sync is free for personal use and can be installed on as many computers as needed.

Note: There is an older version for Windows 98 and Me available for Allway Sync. You can download it from our old version page - see above and click on the "Older Version" tab.

Allway Sync offers some unique features over other backup solutions, including encryption, ability to back up and sync any file type, option to keep older file versions, and control over where backups are stored. One of the most interesting feature is the ability to synchronize between a PC and Mac.

These key features make Allway Sync a very robust program.

When using Allway Sync for the first time, users can set up rules for general use, such as, “sync data every five minutes,” or set up custom rules for a specific file. Syncing is bi-directional, so updates made to a document stored in one place are automatically synced to that document’s same version stored elsewhere.

For example, if you make changes to a spreadsheet that’s saved on your PC synced using Allway Sync, those corresponding changes will be made to the back-up stored in the cloud. This is great for collaborative documents and could be especially useful for travelers or distributed teams. With Allway Sync, you can opt to keep older file versions, too.

With Allway Sync, folders and directories are synced, too – so you can easily find your documents on any device. If you routinely use a USB drive for storage, you can use Allway Sync’s “bind to drive characteristics” feature so that your data is always easy to find and sync, even if Windows OS assigns a different drive letter to your USB device.

Allway Sync works with all file types, including photos and videos, and you can sync one document to multiple sources, for built-in redundancy. So precious memories and valuable data need never be lost. Overall, Allway Sync offers a tremendous number of features and benefits, especially for a free solution.

Considering Allway Sync’s built-in security protection, it would be an excellent tool for business use, as well, especially when document collaboration is a factor.
